Betsy holds a special place in her heart for literature and poetry, with a lineage that leads to poet, Hyam Plutzik, a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize.
From sponsoring organizations like O, Miami, who in 2011 kicked off a city-wide event aimed at exposing all 3 million residents of Miami-Dade County to poetry, to featuring an exhibit of poetic broadsides throughout the hotel, The Betsy embraces a heritage and love of literature.
