Featuring Piano Duo Spektra | Inesa Gegprifti and Redi Llupa with acclaimed musicologist Frank Cooper

The Betsy is a longtime partner to Dranoff 2 Piano Foundation, providing space for concerts and additional support for a program called Piano Slam, which introduces 2 Piano classical music to young people in an interdisciplinary contest that is linked to core public school STEAM subject matter. 

This is the first of two formal concerts in the 2021/22 season that will focus on LGBTQ culture and includes a performance by DUO SPEKTRA as well as conversation and critical analysis by noted Musicologist Dr. Frank Cooper, Professor Emeritus, University of Miami.

INESA GEGPRIFTI
Albanian pianist Inesa Gegprifti has performed as a soloist and chamber musician throughout Europe, U.S.A, and South America. A graduate of the Boston Conservatory at Berklee (B.M.) and Indiana University (M.M.), she completed her D.M.A. at the Frost School of Music, UM. Dr. Gegprifti is on the faculty of the Superior Academy of Music, the Frost Preparatory Program, and the Frost Young Musicians Camp. Currently, she also teaches as Adjunct Faculty at the Keyboard Department of the Frost School of Music – University of Miami.  She is a member of DUO SPEKTRA with REDI LLUPA. 

REDI LLUPA
Albanian pianist Redi Llupa has distinguished himself by performing in prestigious venues in Europe, North and South America, and Asia. An avid advocate of contemporary repertoire, Llupa continuously collaborates with and performs music by living composers. As a guest artist and lecturer, Mr. Llupa has been invited by prestigious institutions, such as the Eastman School of Music, the University of North Texas, the University of Louisville, the University of Oregon, the University of Miami, the University of Virginia, Oklahoma University, the University of Arts in Tirana, the National University of Natal, and Universitad de Caldas.  Llupa is a member of Piano Duo Spektra with INESA GEGPRIFTI.
