Tal Choen is a Grammy Award winning jazz pianist located in Miami, whose unique style owes its roots to the Jewish folk songs and classical music he played in his formative years growing up in Israel.

Roxana Amed is an Argentinian-born jazz vocalist, recording artist, arranger, and songwriter, considered to be one of the most important voices in Argentine music today. She is in residence at The Betsy Hotel from August 17-20 in The Betsy Writers Room as part of a project that celebrates Iberoamerican artists.

Downbeat Magazine wrote this about her new 2021 album release, "Ontology reveals ... deep ...  ethnic and experiential reflection, (it) encompasses Amed’s quest to discern where, when,  and how her bond with Argentina can and/or should meld with American jazz and other artistic vantage points...
