All Jazz performances from April 1 thru April 30, 2023 are presented as part of The Betsy’s 11th Annual Overture to Overtown Jazz Festival.

The longest running live music series on Miami Beach, with Latin Jazz on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Listen along while dining in LT Steak & Seafood or enjoying a refreshing libation at the Bar.

KAYA NICOLE - Vocals - Kaya Nicole, jazz vocalist, poet, and guitarist, released a solo album of covers in December 2021 entitled: “Moody: A Selection of Songs for Everyday Sadness.” Her rhythmic vocal style reminds one of the dynamic Carmen Miranda or Elis Regina, with a robust low end the likes of Lauryn Hill or Sarah Vaughan.  Kaya performs jazz, neo-soul, folk, blues, bossa nova, and hip hop, and has even been known to break into rap at least once every show to pay homage to her New York roots. Recipient of the 2021 Arts Alive grant, Kaya continues her legacy of storytelling through her debut original project: “Tracing the Diaspora” in 2022.

Murphy has enjoyed an esteemed career as a multi-genre pianist, arranger, conductor, and producer -  and has been associated with artists as diverse as Wynton Marsalis, Diana Krall, Arturo Sandoval, Paquito D’Rivera, Albert Collins, Eddie “Cleanhead” Vinson, Jimmy Witherspoon, Kevin Mahogany, Tom Scott, The Dance Theatre of Harlem, David Liebman, Bob Berg, Eddie Daniels, Plas Johnson, Wycliffe Gordon, Jackie Paris, Dame Shirley Bassey, Lucie Arnaz, Engelbert Humperdinck, Jack Jones, Bernadette Peters, Julie Budd, Nigel Kennedy, Caroline Rocher, The Diamonds, Hal Linden, Regis Philbin, Susan Lucci and many others.   @miamijazzcooperative
