Sanlé Sory (Yossimilo.com) is a Burkinabe photographer born in 1943. Owner of Volta Photo studio, he lives and works in Bobo-Dioulasso. His career started at the age of 17, the year his country (Republic of Upper Volta), became independent from France, working as a reporter, record sleeve illustrator, and studio photographer. Sory is represented by Yossi Milo Gallery, NYC, where he had his first US-based solo show in April 2018, quickly followed by a successful show at the Art Institute of Chicago.
