Miami Collegium Musicum, directed by Dr. Donald Oglesby, is Miami’s community chamber choir. Celebrate the poetry of Walt Whitman, on his 200th birthday, in song.

Event Details

Miami Collegium Musicum, directed by Dr. Donald Oglesby, is Miami’s community chamber choir. Celebrate the poetry of Walt Whitman, on his 200th birthday, in song. Works include Dona Nobis Pacem by Vaughan Williams, as well as the premiere of a new work by David Pagel, commissioned by the group.  Also featured is a setting of a work by Composer Robert Cohen to words by Poet Hyam Plutzik, noted 3-time Pulitzer-Prize Finalist and father of Betsy owner, Jonathan Plutzik.  Composers David Pagel and Robert Cohen will be present for the concert and a community reception will be held immediately followed the concert in The Carlton Room Panther Coffee Bar.
