Event Details

Presented by The Ocean Drive Association with The Betsy's 10th Annual Overture to Overtown Jazz Festival. In partnership with WDNA Jazz Radio, National Jazz Appreciation Month, The City of Miami Beach and the Greater Miami and the Beaches Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Sundays from 5pm to 6pm, April 2022
Hosted outside on the Ocean Drive Promenade located between 14th Street and 14th Place

  • April 17 at 5PM - Nicole Yarling Quartet with Tal Cohen, Piano
  • April 24 at 5PM - Melton Mustafa, Jr. Jazz Trio with special guest Nicole Henry

Jim GASIOR – Piano - has performed with Ricky Martin, Kelly  Clarkson, Alih Jey, Chayanne, Little Richard, Michael  Bolton, Jose Feliciano, Smokey Robinson, Benny  Golson, Slide Hampton, Freddie Hubbard, Terell  Stafford, Patti Austin, John Fedchock, Duffy Jackson,   Jason Marsalis, Donald Harrison, Robin Eubanks,  Jeremy Pelt, Jay Leonhart and the Jaco Pastorius  Reunion Big Band. Jim holds a Bachelor’s degree in  Studio Music and Jazz Performance, a Master’s  degree in Jazz Pedagogy - both from University of Miami’s Frost School of Music, where he is  in the final stages of his Doctorate in Jazz.

LeNard RUTLEDGE – Vocals - LeNard Rutledge, born and raised in Miami, is often compared to the legendary Lou Rawls. LeNard grew up in the historic St. Agnes Episcopal Church in Overtown and began his musical career as a drummer, playing in the marching band at Miami Central Senior High. While attending Saint Augustine College in North Carolina he started singing in local clubs and began his vocal career in 1997 performing with the Melton Mustafa Orchestra.  He was named The Miami New Times Best Jazz Artist in 2006 and is currently recording new songs across several musical genres. @rutvoice
