The South Beach Chamber Ensemble will be performing Debussy Piano Trio in G major (1880) and Dvořák Piano Trio No. 4 in E minor, Op. 90 (Dumky) (1891).
Performers include Sheena Gutierrez, violin, Michael Andrews, cello and Michael Linville, piano.
The South Beach Chamber Ensemble, founded by Michael Andrews 23 years ago, began with a free concert of Haydn and Dvorak Piano Trios at the Bass Museum of Art in Miami Beach. Since then they have played Music in Beautiful Spaces throughout south Florida and South Beach Up North in Wisconsin, along with their international cultural exchanges, Music in Motion, in Brazil and Argentina. The ensemble is one of the only arts organizations in south Florida dedicated to offering affordable chamber music programs to new audiences while showcasing local musical talent. The South Beach Chamber Ensemble was invited to perform the Miami premiere of Argentine composer Osvaldo Golijov’s La Pasión segun San Marco in 2007 at the Arsht Center. They have collaborated with Dance Now Miami and puppet master Jim Hammond. In 2011 they were a Knight Foundation Arts Challenge Miami finalist for Mozart on the Move, a series of family friendly outdoor pop-up concerts.
We have limited free tickets available for a socially distanced audience. You must arrive at 5:30pm to get a temperature check and sign a COVID-19 waiver. The concert will be recorded live and broadcast at a later date.
