H3’s 9th Annual Open Panel Discussion about Cancer:Too Young, Too Old, or Just Ignored: Cancer Care Through Every Age

Miami Beach, FL, August 7, 2025 – H3: Health. Hope. Healing. is proud to present its 9th Annual Open Panel Discussion on Breast Cancer, continuing a tradition of addressing the most urgent issues in cancer care. This year’s theme, “Too Young, Too Old, or Just Ignored: Breast Cancer Through Every Age,” explores how age-related bias affects diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship.

Over the past eight years, H3’s panels have tackled topics shaping the breast cancer landscape. Early discussions focused on the rise in diagnoses, the importance of awareness, and the challenges within the healthcare system, under the theme “It begins with me.” Subsequent events examined the pandemic’s impact on cancer care, the promise of genetic testing, and disparities in treatment for black women. The most recent panel highlighted breakthroughs in immunotherapy, clinical trials, and vaccines, advocating for equitable access to cutting-edge therapies.

In 20025, our 9th open panel discussion event will focus on bridging generations and breaking barriers. This year’s discussion will bring together experts and survivors to examine how cancer is experienced and too often dismissed across different stages of life.

Young Women’s Cancer Crisis – highlighting the alarming rise in diagnoses under 50, the frequent dismissal of symptoms, and the unique challenges young patients face, from fertility preservation to mental health

Middle age & Older Women: Battling Ageism and Quality of Care – exposing how age bias leads to undertreatment, exclusion from clinical trials, and gaps in long-term survivorship support.

By weaving together these generational perspectives, the discussion will include systemic bias, inclusion and age-aware approaches to breast cancer care.

This event will take place on Thursday, October 23, from 5-8pm at

The Gallery, Betsy Hotel South Beach, 1433 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach, FL 33139
