For the past year, the Books & Books Literary Foundation has been hosting a series of reading parties throughout our community, and now we’re coming to The Betsy!
Meet us at the Betsy Hotel’s Bbar, an intimate, underground art-filled venue for the Betsy Hotel edition of our very popular (Silent) Reading Party, hosted by Alyssa Exposito. Here are the rules (not many): just grab your favorite book, or pick one from the Betsy Hotel’s library or our little lending library and join us for a quiet(ish) gathering at the Betsy Hotel’s beautiful Bbar space. Together, we’ll read in congenial silence for 30-60 minutes, then raise a glass and chat about what we’ve been reading.
Did you know that reading for pleasure actively boosts your well-being? The stats are in, and reading reduces stress, fosters empathy, and contributes to mental clarity and peacefulness. Mostly, reading just makes us HAPPIER and HEALTHIER, and reading together in community is just great vibes all around. Join us for an introvert-friendly, extrovert-approved gathering that’s all about sharing the joy of books together!
