Hey, it’s vacation. You deserve a drink, and a good one. With that in mind, our concierges have compiled a list of the best bars in Miami to grab a great cocktail. From dives to drag bars and neighborhood favorites, we’ve got ideas for any kind of traveler. We might be a little biased, but we’re pretty sure that this is the best best cocktail bars in Miami Beach list you’ll find, and the only one you’ll ever need!

Broken Shaker
Awarded Tales of the Cocktail’s Best American Hotel Bar, Broken Shaker is the place to visit for innovative mixology on Miami Beach in a backyard setting.  All of their cocktails are hand-crafted and most include a variety of fresh ingredients from herbs, pressed juice, and house-made syrups. They even have an artisan punch bowl that serves multiple guests, so it’s a great place to visit if you’re on a trip with friends. In addition to having some of the best drinks in Miami, Broken Shaker also has a selection of bar snacks for patrons to munch while they party. Broken Shaker is the house bar at the Freehand Miami. They are open seven days a week, but the hours vary so be sure to check that they are open before you arrive! Address: 2727 Indian Creek Drive, Miami Beach

Sweet Liberty
Sweet Liberty is Miami born and bred, at once a celebration of the cultural melting pot that defines the city and the charms of classic American diners. A “concept created for the new Miami Beach," Sweet Liberty is a funky mix of upscale food, innovative cocktails, and old-standbys ― it’s sure to please everyone. While their drinks are some of the best in South Beach, this is the spot to visit for food as well as drinks. Their menu screams Americana-fusion featuring things like deviled eggs, pimento cheese, and tater tots alongside classic Mexican elote, Hawaiian poke, and a “Churrasco Bahn-mi.” Sweet Liberty is open Monday - Saturday from 4pm to 5am and for brunch on Sundays. Address: 237-B 20th Street, Miami Beach

Palace Bar
If you’re looking for a party, Palace Bar is one of the best bars in Miami. A mainstay of Ocean Drive for over 30 years, the Palace Bar is known for its daily drag shows and killer cocktails ― not to mention, one of the best happy hours in Miami Beach. They also have a wildly popular drag brunch every Saturday and Sunday, but be sure to make a reservation! Palace Bar is open seven days a week, and happy hour is from 5:00 - 7:00 pm Monday through Friday. Address: 1052 Ocean Drive, Miami Beach

The ScapeGoat
A spot that Time Out said “feel[s] more like a science lab than a bar at times," The ScapeGoat is focused on keeping everything American-made. We don’t know how they do it, but they manage to keep the prices low, the quality high, and the ambience unmatched in South Beach. While they have a few snacks (and we really mean a few), the ScapeGoat’s goal is putting out quality nightcaps and good times in a modern setting. The ScapeGoat is open seven days a week from 5:00 pm to 5:00 am. Address: 100 Collins Avenue CU4, Miami Beach

The Lobby Bar at The Betsy
Of course, we are partial to the Lobby Bar at The Betsy. With its dark wood and palm trees, rotating art exhibits, giant windows looking out onto Ocean Drive, and live Jazz seven nights a week, the Lobby Bar feels like an outpost of Old Havana by day and one of the social epicenters of South Beach by night. Boasting a specialty cocktail menu that pays homage to the great American writers of the lost generation, The Lobby Bar has an easy charm that evokes days past with an eclectic, modern food selection from LT Steak & Seafood as a delightful counterpoint. If you’re looking for a cross between a speakeasy and an upscale literary salon, then Lobby Bar is your spot. The Lobby Bar at The Betsy is open seven days a week from 11:00 am to midnight. Address: 1440 Ocean Drive, Miami Beach

South Pointe Tavern
Opened in 2016, South Pointe Tavern has worked hard to secure its place as a neighborhood watering hole with a twist. Far from just a corner dive, South Pointe boasts the “largest selection of spirits in Miami Beach." Their goal? Great cocktails and great vibes. Their menu is curated seasonally and is complemented by breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late-night food menus. Called “The Cheers of South of Fifth,” South Pointe Tavern is a must visit if you want to experience the best drinks Miami has to offer. South Pointe Tavern is open seven days a week from 8:00 am to 2:00 am. Address: 40 South Pointe Drive, #109, Miami Beach

Urbanica Mini Bar
Mini Bar is small, but, boy, is it awesome. A relative newcomer to the Miami cocktail bar scene, Mini Bar opened just over a year ago ― and it’s made a mark. If you’re looking for wild drinks in a classy setting, Minibar is the place. It’s aesthetic has been aptly described as “a Parisian speakeasy in Bali,” and we couldn’t agree more. The atmosphere, menu, and sense of whimsy makes it a perfect place to kick back and relax with a few friends (and, really, we mean only a few if you’re headed there) for some of the best cocktails in South Beach! Urbanica Mini Bar is open seven days a week from 5:00 pm to 2:00 am. Address: 418 Meridian Avenue, Miami Beach

If you are a guest of The Betsy Hotel, be sure to check in with our concierge desk when heading for a night out on the town. They’ll have more information on how to get to the best bars in Miami Beach, where to find a delicious dinner, and much more!

Expect no more. This is happiness.™
