Art Deco Tours

If you’re looking for an activity to enjoy with your dog, you can bring them on an art deco walking tour of Miami Beach! Art Deco Tours lets you bring your best friend along for an extra fee. They won’t be allowed to enter all the buildings on the tour, but they will have a buddy to wait outside with them at each stop! Rumor is that they will make their Little Havana walking tour dog-friendly as well, so long as you book two weeks in advance. 610 Jefferson Ave #7 in South Beach

Haulover Beach Dog Park

Haulover Beach Park is a must-visit if you have a dog with excess energy. They have a small dog enclosure for pups under 35 pounds as well as ample space for larger pooches to run and play. Haulover Beach also allows (leashed) dogs on the beach near lifeguard #3 every day from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. 10800 Collins Avenue in Miami Beach

Miami Beach Botanical Gardens

It’s rare to find a botanical garden that allows dogs to come and take in the sights, but Miami Beach actually has one. Well-behaved dogs on leashes are welcome to accompany their owners on self-guided tours of the facilities at any time and are invited to come along on docent-led tours on Saturdays at 2:00 p.m. 2000 Convention Center Drive in Miami Beach

Bark Beach at North Shore

The Bark Beach at North Shore Open Space Park is beloved by pet owners in the area as it’s one of the only dog-friendly beaches in Miami Beach. The Bark Beach offers plenty of space for dogs to run both on- and off-leash, though the beach itself is strictly on-leash. It’s open Friday, Saturday, and Sundays between 1:30 and 5:30 p.m. 8232 Collins Avenue in North Miami Beach

South Pointe Park

If you head all the way down to the tip of South Beach, you’ll find South Pointe Park which has plenty for people and their pets to do. Dogs are welcome on-leash throughout the park’s playgrounds and bike trails as well as off-leash in the designated dog run. This one is great if a little exploring and a lot of photo taking is on your to-do list ― the views and architecture in the common spaces are awesome! 1 Washington Avenue in South Beach

Lummus Park

Lummus Park is a great place to take your dog if they like to watch the sights and sounds of the city. Situated on Ocean Drive, it’s the perfect spot to set up with a blanket, some snacks, a good book, and your best friend. While there’s no off-leash area for your pup to run, it does have the advantage of being conveniently located right in the heart of South Beach which makes it a good place to go for an hour or two if you don’t have a car on your vacation. 1130 Ocean Drive in South Beach

Hobie Island Beach Park

Hobie Beach Dog Park is perfect for a dog that loves to swim. It’s the only place in Miami-Dade County where your dog will be allowed to catch some waves and roll in the sand without a leash. It’s a man-made beach so it’s a perfect paradise for pups! 3501 Rickenbacker Causeway in Key Biscayne

Miami Beach Boardwalk

The Miami Beach Boardwalk spans a four-mile stretch of Miami’s beautiful beach. While the beach itself isn’t dog-friendly, you are welcome to walk or run with your dog along this path so long as you are considerate of others. This gives you the opportunity to see the sun, sand, and waves of Miami Beach with your pup. Vendors, street performers, and events are often set up along the way so you never know exactly what you’ll find! If your dog is a fan of a good, long leashed walk with lots of exciting smells and sights, then Miami Beach Boardwalk is a perfect choice. Along the beach between 5th & 46th in South Beach

Yellow Green Farmers Market

Yellow Green Farmers Market is a great place to visit whether you have a dog or not ― but the fact that it’s dog-friendly throughout makes us love it even more. Lincoln Road Mall

Miami is home to a variety of outdoor shopping centers, most of which are dog-friendly. That said, we’re partial to Lincoln Road which sits just above 16th street in South Beach. The mall is home to tons of restaurants with outdoor seating and shops ranging from high-end retailers to surf-shops and more. Even better, most of the stores will allow your pet to come in so long as they are leashed! Lincoln Road between Alton and Collins in South Beach

Dog Bar

Dog Bar is a pet staple of the area and has been operating in Miami Beach since 1996. They carry only the best when it comes to pet food, toys, and treat ― and never carry any “big brand” dog foods.
