Celebrate the poetry of Walt Whitman with a one-of-a-kind choral concert. Selections will include a composition by Vaughn-Williams on the 200th anniversary of the poet's birth! Also, enjoy the premiere of a new work by Dr. David Pagel, commissioned for Collegium, and a setting by award-winning composer Robert S. Cohen of a poem by Hyam Plutzik, father of The Betsy’s owner, Jonathan Plutzik - and whose poetry is The Betsy's tagline - “Expect no more. This is Happiness.” And yes, Birthday cake will be served!

Join us for another installment of The (New) Beethoven Quartets, the 10th of a 13-concert series, an effort of 4 years to perform the complete opus of composer Jeff Briggs' re-imagined collection of Beethoven's 32 piano sonatas for string quartet.

It’s P’Opera Time!

The Betsy presents a monthly Broadway, Zarzuela, Opera Pop-up in the Lobby with Miami Classical Music Festival, one of two Festivals in Residence at our Hotel. Together we offer a monthly celebration of classical song - to include opera and other vocal genres. This is a chance to hear the best and brightest alumni of a program that takes place every summer featuring almost 100 performances of opera and chamber music in venues across Miami Beach. The Betsy is host hotel to the summer Festival and features at least one performance each week that is free and open to the community.
The Miami Classical Music Festival was founded by Michael Rossi, a member of the Kennedy Center Orchestra, and conducts opera and symphonic works globally. Rossi will be in-residence for 10 weeks this summer at The Betsy Hotel. Learn more at miamimusicfestival.org.

Join us for the final performance of the 2019 Marina Piccinini International Masterclass. This is a relaxed performance where students and their mentors celebrate the power of solo, duo and ensemble musical literature for virtuoso flute.
Maria Piccinini is an international award-winning flute virtuoso who teaches at Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, Maryland. She resides in Vienna, Austria.
